Well Spring is here, The MC didn’t quite make the progress I had hoped for over the winter, but it’s time to start putting some of the parts in that I’ve collected over the winter.

The Unisteer Rack and Pinion unit will go in this month, however for those of you doing this conversion on a  1st Gen take note: The Intermediate Shaft from Unisteer is too short for a Monte Carlo, you have to call them, have them send you one uncut then cut it yourself to fit.

Hopefully for the 1500.00 price tag Unisteer will fix this problem for us Monte Carlo owners.

The Rear Suspension parts from BMR are also on order so that will be coming soon as well as a complete gauge package from Autometer.

The Car is on it’s way down to the shop next week, and will see about 6 -8 weeks of work done to it, then will head in for some body work.

I’m putting all fiberglass fenders and hood on the front.

The plan right now is to have her ready for the First Gneration Monte Carlo Meet in Polosn MT, in August.

Check back soon, updates and pictures are coming!!

Well I had a PC ‘issue’ This past week, and I just now set down to fix the mess…so I haven’t been posting much lately, but one of the members of the FGMCC posted up some pictures so I’m stealin’ em for here…

It’s also been ages since I did a “Monte of the week” post, I know I’m a bad blogger yada yada yada…

So here you go…here’s the “Monte of the week” a stroked 1971 496 powered beast out of the New England area….Nice touch on those swooshes on the back quarter and front fenders…
