Guy got arrested because he was carrying weapons. In Denver. At the start of the DNC follies.
Betcha my pink slip that if the Assholes in the DNC and the Queen Bitch herself Nancy Pelosi wasn’t holding court at that particular hotel…it would have never happened. Wanna make that bet? I don’t think you do….
I’m sure since the hotel was evacuated and her botox injected highness was put out, they are going to throw the book at this guy. It would never of even raised an eyebrow any other time.
Talk about Two Americas…there’s living proof right there. The rich and the powerful ruling classes like Madame Speaker…and Us.
Heh, I like it when people use “Madame speaker”, it makes me think of exactly what Pelosi is…A whore. But I digress.
I can’t go as far as to call the guy an asshat…I just can’t.
He says he doesn’t watch TV, so he didn’t even realize the DNC was in town.
I know that is an oddity this day and age but I can understand it. I don’t watch it either, 98% of it is sex, smut, pro-homo bullshit, anything but what you can actually use. So I don’t bother. Yes I have a TV, I could get western programing via Sat in Q8 …. But, No I don’t watch it. Most of my information’s gleaned via the web, but maybe the guy doesn’t use the internet..there’s still folks out there that don’t.
I don’t watch it at home in TN either.
Of course, I own guns, I also have a survival stash in my basement, and I don’t watch TV so obvioulsy I’m one of those right wing wackos ….
I would place a bet if all these sorry assed mouth breathing TV addicts in the country would put down the god damn remote and do something constructive with that time wasted drooling in front of the idjut box, two things would happen:
1. Every Poltician in the country would suddenly break out in a cold sweat because he or she could no longer control the masses via the idjut box in the living room, they’d suddenly realize people can think for themselves with out some blow dried pancake makeup wearing talking head fool with an agenda directing them, and maybe they’d actually do something right.
And Two, they could quit worrying about trans-fats in food…people would actually burn more calories.
I think my biggest concern is the fact the man was arrested at all, his 2nd Amendment rights do not say “the right to keep and bear arms (except within x amount of feet of an asshole politician) shall not be infringed”. Period.
Was he a little clueless? Yeah o-kay he was, but to be arrested, put in jail, and charged with a felony..that’s bullshit.
Tell him “sorry due to security concerns you’ll have to go elsewhere”, send him on his way, maaaaaybe due to the circumstances, take the weapons and tell him he’ll have to wait until after the convention to pick them up. But to press this as a felony? This guys life can be RUINED by something like this.
It’s nothing more than a total over reaction from the Federals, local gumshoes, and whoever else passes for “law enforcement” these days that I find disturbing.
Guy needs to call a lawyer and sue…sue hard.

I can understand the guy not watching TV. I hardly do at all as well. But I will damn well read a newspaper, read news on the web and listen to the radio (all talk). In this day and age, “I don’t listen to the news” is not a viable excuse.
This guy makes gun owners look like ignorant dumbasses, who don’t know what’s going on in their own country and couldn’t care less.

I kind of think about one group when the argument comes up. The Amish. They have very little contact with the “outside” world, they keep to themselves, and do not allow for a lot of external influences to their society.
Obvioulsy the guy is probably not Amish, but if he is a recluse, it is his right to be so.
No matter the case, I don’t see it as a negative light on all gun owners.
Maybe in the MSM, there are certainly those who would spin it that way and it is easy for them to to say that, because they have pre-conceived notions of gun owners at large, but for me just because the ability exists to be “tuned in” 24x7x365 doesn’t mean people have to participate.
As I stated my biggest concern is he was arrested at all. Any other day, any other time, this would of been a non issue, I think we know that.
But because a bunch of rich and powerful politicans have gathered in Denver the MSM is screaming about the boogey man gun owner at even the slightest provcation. This “event” is not news, it should not of made the wires and it is….Utter Bullshit.
